Thumbs up and thumbs down Source:  Pixabay " A Fixed Mindset Could be Holding You Back " The first article I read was "A fixed Mindset Could be Holding You Back" in which it talked about how being focused on one thing and not wanting to explore or come out of your comfort zone can hurt you. People who will mess up on something and complain or feel bad about it instead of learning from their mistake will struggle way more than people who see the mistake and learn from it for future use. Also it talked about how praising a child constantly can actually hurt them more than hep them because then they will eventually feel like they are doing good at what they are doing or in life unless they are praised because they have a fixed mindset of whats good or not. " Seven Ways to Crush Self-Doubt in Creative Work " The second article I read was "Seven Ways to Crush Self-Doubt in Creative Work" which listed seven different ways. These seven ways al...

Here are four ideas that I chose to write about for my projects. Poseidon from Greek Mythology Source:  MaxPixel " Greek Mythology " Greek mythology has always been something that has caught my attention ever since I was younger. I always loved reading or hearing stories about the different gods and different scenarios or events that happened with each one. Also since I've always have had an interest I actually have pretty good knowledge of the different gods but there is still a lot that I don't know. So for me it was a for sure thing that I would talk about the gods for one of my projects. For a story I could create a great war between the gods or maybe a spin-off of the bachelor with god's type story, there is quite a few different things I could do. " Alice in Wonderland " Alice in Wonderland is such a famous and classic story that I knew I had to write about it. I always loved this crazy fantasy world that the story talks about. There is s...

Story now in:  My Portfolio Couple in a car Source:  Pexels Once upon a time there was a man and a woman who were happily married. One day this married couple decided to go out and grab a bite to eat. In the car the man ask "what would you like to eat honey?" the woman then replied "I don't care". So the man said alright were going to Chipotle and the woman then replied with a no to Chipotle because she just had it the other day. So the man then suggested that they go to Mcdonalds because he had some coupons for a buy one get one free burger there. The woman quickly shut that option down saying that she wants better quality food than that and also something that has healthy option to choose from. The man then came up with the idea of going to a sit down restaurant like Texas Road house but the woman didn't want to because the next episode of the Bachelor was coming on in an hour and she absolutely could not miss that for anything. As tension started r...

up close picture of the moon to see the rocks that form the shape of a man source: Wikipedia The Man in the Moon  by  Katherine Neville Fleeson This is a short story about how the rocks on the moon came to look like a man. There was once a blacksmith who complained about the problems he had as a blacksmith. The man said things like how he is not well and it is too hot so he wished he could be a stone on a mountain where it was cool. This magical man that heard the blacksmith granted him this wish and the blacksmith become a stone on the mountain. After so long the blacksmith didn't like being a stone and wanted to be a stone cutter and the magical man agreed once more. The blacksmith kept complaining about what he was and the magical man kept changing him until he got to be the moon at which he wanted to go back to being a blacksmith but the magical man was tired of the changing and left the blacksmith as a moon. I like how the story had a deeper message behind it as t...

After scrolling through the different units on the Untextbook I noticed quite a few units that caught my eye but the three units that I thought I would enjoy most were  Japanese Mythology ,  Egyptian Myth , and the  Monkey King . A book and coffee Source: Pixabay Japanese Mytholog y caught my attention because Japanese stories always seem to be a fun read and have quite unique plots which really keep my attention. I chose  Egyptian Myth  because I've have always had an interest in Egyptian history and the stories behind what they did and how they were so advanced in technology for their time. When I first saw the  Monkey King  unit I knew it had to be a must read. I have watched movies about the monkey king growing up and have always had an interest in it, so i am really excited to dive into this unit.
