A magical genie

For this post I will be talking about Arabian Nights, Part B, which is "Aladdin and the Wonderful Lamp". This story is about Aladdin who lives in a poverty stricken Chinese town with his mother because his father died. One day Aladdin was playing in the streets when a magician came up to him and said that he was his uncle and told him to come work with him which will make Aladdin wealthy if he did. Aladdin decided to take up the magicians offer and the magician took Aladdin to the a cave that was booby trapped but told Aladdin to go in and retrieve an "oil lamp" within. When Aladdin got the lamp he refused to give it to the magician making the magician angry and he trapped Aladdin in the cave. After two days of being trapped Aladdin rubs a ring that magician had given him for protection and a genie appears in which he wished to be back home. At home Aladdins mom tries to clean the lamp that Aladdin had found and from rubbing it another genie came out from it. promising to do their bidding. Aladdin first ask for food and the genie gives them a feast to eat. After Aladdin wants to marry The king's, Sultan, daughter in which happens after some events of having to get rid of Sultans vizier's son. Aladdin was able to eventually able to marry the daughter and they both married each other and lived in a palace created by the genie. The magician had heard of all this realizing that Aladdin still has the lamp so he comes back and tricks the couple out of the lamp and moves to Africa. Aladdin is outraged and used the genie from the ring again to go to Africa and get the lamp back. He eventually does from the wife's trickery which ended up killing the magician and  they move back to China. The magicians brother ended up wanting revenge so he went to Aladdin and tricked him into wanting Roc's eggs which is genies master thus angering him. The genies then realizes they were tricked and Aladdin goes and kills the magicians brother. After Aladdin and the wife live happily ever after and Aladdin eventually becomes king. I really liked this story, it was a very fun one to read. It was cool to compare this story to the Disney's version of Aladdin. I thought all the plot twist in the story was very well done. Also and idea for my story could be to tell the story through the genies point of view and maybe see what he does when hes chilling in his lamp.
